Recommendations for Physical Activity

    

 


The US Surgeon General recommends that we accumulate 30 minutes (60 minutes for children and adolescents) of moderate physical activity on most, preferably all, days of the week.  That's just three 10-minute brisk walks per day.

The Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Sports, Health, and Wellness has created the following informational sheets on physical activity.  Feel free to download these PDF files for use with your programs.  If you would like, add your logo to the sheets, but please make sure to give the Maine Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Sports, Health, and Wellness credit for creating them.  We have also included a sheet for youth.
